WOW I'm still alive after a crazy convention weekend and great days with epic people!!!
After a lot of convention preparation last week (sorry for all the messages I could not answer until now) my adventure started with the visit of
at my place.
They arrived on Wednesday afternoon in Frankfurt. After the road trip to my workplace (I couldn't them fetch up from the airport because of work) we had a nice dinner at my favorite Japanese Bar in Düsseldorf.
We had a lot of stories to share after two years *v*
Back at home, we still had a lot to prepare for the WCS and Nintendo Cosplay Competition, so we could start early next day in direction Kassel. Well… it never goes as planned XD
With some hours delay and a stop at the HARIBO Outlet (needed Gummibears for our WCS booth) we arrived at Kassel and the convention hotel in the afternoon.
The rest of the day we spend with meeting more Friends, having dinner (SCHNITZEL) and more convention preparation at the hotel room.
The next day started with the amazing hotel breakfast *___* followed by the buildup of the WCS booth, prepare Cosplay and waiting for
to arrive.
Now after met her in Person I can really say she is an amazing Cosplayer with such a nice down to earth personality … just WOW! So it was a very easy task for me to help her around.
Also she is able to speak German very fluently, this was so surprising.
All 3 convention days were kinda the same for me… build up the booth, sit at the booth, help Yaya and all the other international guests (they didn't really need help but it sounds more important like this ;D).
Speaking of our international guests or more friends, I was so happy to meet them again after a long time. All the good WCS memories *____*
Thanks to
On Saturday evening we all spent time together at the schnitzelplace again. Chatting, having fun and listening to interesting stories of their home country and cosplay over there.
A lot to learn was also on the panels Yaya held at our convention. You can feel that everyone enjoyed her speak and her burning passion for cosplay. If you have a chance to visit one of her panels, then DO IT!
Sunday was scheduled completely for the German WCS preselections! The day started at 8am for all teams, organizers and helpers with the costume judging.
I was the personal WCS maid in my Kurisu maid outfit for all the lovely judges <3 This year we had a lot of pretty and well-made cosplays again *___*
Sometimes it's hard for me not to compete in this competition anymore because I know besides the stress there is also a lot of fun showing the best! But yeah, also the organizing part can give you that feeling.
After the first judging part we had to rush to the stage. The show was about to start and me and my boyfriend had to go on stage for the introduction!
After 15 min of introductions and the skit of our previous WCS team we left the rest of the hosting part to them.
The
are always funny during the hosting and made the stage-build-up-waiting-time for the teams and crowd less annoying
We had a very great show and I'm so proud of all the 16 Teams we had!!!!!!!! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH <3
Please have a look at our amazing winning team
I'm sure they will so a good job in Japan next year *__________*
Sunday was also the day of saying goodbye to some of my friends. I will miss them so much and I promise to visit them as soon as possible!
Also Yaya had to leave Kassel but before she left I got a pair of Rainbow dash wings and ears as a present from her ~awwww I'm so happy * v * I really hope she can come back to Connichi once again.
We left the convention area with our US girls on Monday… everything was over so fast D:
The rest of the Monday we were relaxing in our fatty pants on the couch and waiting for our Danish girls to join us (they had to take the train).
We had a lot of fun until today, watching the complete Series Steins;Gate (3rd time for me) with maiden tears and chocolate, strolling around Cologne enjoying the city and cupcakes, having a mountain of meat during our BBQ yesterday and much, much more!!!
Now the ladies are gone and I'm back at work with a big convention hangover XD
I don't know all the details yet but I had to promise my girls that I will be at KATSUCON in the USA next YEAR! So prepare for an invasion <3
If any of you has information about hotels and the convention itself please let me know :3
